The Shadowgram works are original images.  The negative from which these prints come are ‘unique’ works that are created without the aid of a camera.  To make these images, the negative is digitised to reverse values.  This series is an ongoing personal project that has been created over several years, combining my love of gardening with my artistic practice.  Floral specimens are collected fresh before each printing session, a few exposures are achievable to create the negative before the flower wilts.  Therefore, these works can be seen as botanical illustrations, reflecting the season during which they were made.
